How Covid-19 affected my life

Covid-19 the most annoying thing in the world…

Like many students in this time, my life quickly changed with the spread of COVID-19. My school moved to virtual classes and shops closed. My job as a tutor in primary school wasn’t necessary anymore. All vacation plans changed completely. My friends and family just video chatted or texted with me.

With so much change going on in my life, it was important for me to stay positive, focuse on the good, learn from mistakes and work hard.

SCHOOL

I already told you about online school

https://www.itskim.de/online-school/

Quick summary… we don’t go to school like almost every student right now. We do have video chats in almost every subject and homeworks which we have to do on our own. The most difficult thing is… if you don’t understand something then you have to try to teach it yourself because you can’t just ask someone else. Maybe your parents, family or friends in class can help you but for me that doesn’t really help. I’m searching up the topics on Youtube and start to watch videos and take notes. Then I practise online until I understood it. But all in all it isn’t that bad and for me it’s actually easier to work from home.

FOCUS ON THE POSITIVE

Most people spend their time on social media but the medias often just show bad news. Don’t focus on the negative like “If Covid-19 wasn’t here I would go to my friends and do this and that” instead think about what you could do now and focus on yourself. I started blogging, painting, running, taking photos but the best thing was that I finally found my dreamjob… Interior designer, Real estate seller. So yeah in my future I really want to do something with houses. (more about that coming soon)

It is important to know what’s going on in the world especially now BUT we all have to keep our mental health in check. Be sure to take time for things you enjoy!

FAMILY & FRIENDS

At the beginning of Covid I still met some friends and sometimes visited my family but now I am staying home. I haven’t met a friend in over a month but I still text and video chat a lot with them. I also met a new friend who is now kinda a part of my family.

The last time when some family members visited us was in the beginning of january. Social distancing! – Of course we followed the rules with 1,5m distance. My mom and I sometimes drive to my aunts but just if we are completely healthy. We also stay just for like 3 hours and then driving back home. And that’s actually it…there’s not really much to talk about cause we have to stay home.

CHEER

I already told you about my hobbies in one of my first posts. I do cheer since I was 3 years old. If you don’t know what cheerleading is stay tuned there’s gonna be a post all about it.

Cheer is a teamsport and you get into contact with each other. My last official and serious practise was back in march 2020. But we had practise a few more times after but just with masks.

It’s hard to keep doing workouts when you actually aren’t motivated to do anything. Same with keeping my skills. It’s winter so I can’t just go outside in our backyard and practise on my trampoline or airtrack. I hope that I can still do a backtuck and so on after Covid.

My last competion was on the 16th february 2020 so almost a year ago. I miss cheer so much.

NEW ACTIVITIES

In the first lockdown I started painting it calms me down. If something bothers me like school, homeworks, teachers… you know what I mean then I start to draw or paint till I feel better. I also started writing which is so much fun. I’m not talking about writing histories… I’m talking about writing quotes or blog posts. Last but not least I started to inform myself a little about real estates, marketing, interior design and so on till I found my dream job.

Covid changed a lottttt for me, my family, friends and everyone else. But to be honest yes we can’t go to school, can’t see our friends and more but in that time we can focus on ourselves, relax a little, try new activities at home and so much more.

That’s it for today

Shine on, kim
